Start your journey in the town of Joshua Tree. Head north on Park Boulevard toward the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. Once you reach the entrance, you will need to enter the park. After entering, continue straight for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Quail Springs Road. Turn left onto Quail Springs Road and continue for about 1 mile. You will see the signs for the Desert Queen Mine Trailhead on your right. Follow the trail signs to the mine, which is about a 1-mile hike from the trailhead.

From Joshua Tree, you can rent a bike at one of the local bike shops. Start by heading north on Park Boulevard. Continue straight until you reach the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Once inside, cycle along the main road for about 3 miles. When you reach the intersection with Quail Springs Road, turn left and bike for another mile. Look for the Desert Queen Mine Trailhead on your right. Lock your bike and hike the remaining mile to the mine.
