Public Bus
From central Joshua Tree, head to the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd. Take the Route 1 bus towards the Palm Springs area. The bus will take you through the scenic routes and drop you off at the Palm Springs bus terminal. From there, transfer to the Route 14 bus, which goes directly to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Get off at the stop at 1 Tramway Rd. The tramway entrance will be on your left.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Joshua Tree. Start your ride on Park Blvd heading south. Continue until you reach the intersection with Highway 62. Turn left onto Highway 62 and continue west. After about 20 miles, follow the signs to Palm Springs, then turn onto Tramway Rd. Follow Tramway Rd for about 2 miles until you reach the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway entrance.

Walking to Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is quite a long trek. However, if you're feeling adventurous, start from the Joshua Tree Visitor Center and head south on Park Blvd towards Highway 62. Once you reach Highway 62, follow this road west. It’s approximately a 20-mile walk, so be prepared with water and snacks. Once you arrive at Palm Springs, look for Tramway Rd, which will lead you directly to the tramway entrance.
