Walking
If you are in the center of Joshua Tree, start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd. Head east on Park Blvd for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 62. Turn left onto Highway 62 (29 Palms Hwy) and continue walking for about 1 mile. You will pass by several shops and local art galleries on your way. Look for the Joshua Tree Saloon on your right at 61835 29 Palms Hwy, just past the intersection with Sunflower St. The saloon is a recognizable building with a sign out front.
Bicycling
If you prefer to bike, you can start at the Joshua Tree Community Center located at 6171 Sunburst St. From the community center, head east on Sunburst St until you reach Park Blvd. Turn left on Park Blvd and ride until you reach the intersection with Highway 62. Turn right onto Highway 62 and continue for about 1 mile. The Joshua Tree Saloon will be on your right at 61835 29 Palms Hwy, just past Sunflower St. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules while biking.
Public Transport
For those relying on public transport, check the local bus schedules for the Joshua Tree area. You would want to catch the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) Route 15, which runs along Highway 62. Board the bus at a stop near the Joshua Tree Visitor Center. Inform the driver you are heading to the Joshua Tree Saloon. The bus will drop you off at a stop near the intersection of Highway 62 and Sunflower St. From there, it’s a short walk to 61835 29 Palms Hwy, where the saloon is located on your right.
