If you're starting from the heart of La Jolla, head southeast on Prospect St towards Girard Ave. Continue on Girard Ave until you reach the intersection with Torrey Pines Rd. Turn left on Torrey Pines Rd and walk towards the coast. After about 1.5 miles, you'll reach the La Jolla Shores area. From there, take the path along the beach heading southeast until you reach the La Jolla Cove. Here, you can catch a bus or rideshare service towards Harbor Island. Alternatively, continue walking along the beach for about 2 more miles until you reach the San Diego Airport area. From there, it's about a 1-mile walk to Harbor Island Park.

From La Jolla, walk to the nearest bus stop on Girard Ave and catch the MTS Bus Route 30 towards Downtown San Diego. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Broadway & Pacific Hwy' stop. Once you get off, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs to Harbor Island. The park is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
