    From La Jolla, walk to the nearest bus stop on Prospect St & Herschel Ave. Take the MTS Bus Route 30 towards the South Bay. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'H Street Transit Center' stop. From there, transfer to Bus Route 704 towards Chula Vista. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Gunpowder Point Dr' stop. The Living Coast Discovery Center is a short walk from the bus stop.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in La Jolla. Start your journey by heading south on Coast Blvd, then merge onto La Jolla Blvd. Continue on La Jolla Blvd until it turns into Pacific Coast Hwy. Follow the highway towards Chula Vista. The total distance is approximately 12 miles, so make sure you're comfortable with biking long distances. Once you arrive in Chula Vista, look for Gunpowder Point Dr and follow the signs to the Living Coast Discovery Center.
