Getting There

• Car

  From downtown San Diego, take I-5 South. Exit at 'Rosecrans St' and turn left onto Rosecrans St. Continue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Nimitz Blvd. Turn right onto Nimitz Blvd, which will take you through Point Loma. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of Cabrillo National Monument, located at 1800 Cabrillo Memorial Dr, San Diego, CA 92106. Note that there is an entrance fee of $10 per vehicle, which can be paid at the entrance station.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cabrillo National Monument using public transportation, take the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus #35 from downtown San Diego. The bus will take you to the intersection of Rosecrans St and Nimitz Blvd. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to the entrance of Cabrillo National Monument. Alternatively, you can take a rideshare service from the bus stop to the monument if you prefer not to walk. The bus fare is approximately $2.50 one way.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can ride to Cabrillo National Monument from downtown San Diego. The ride is approximately 6 miles and will take you through scenic areas of Point Loma. You can follow the same route as cars: take Rosecrans St and then Nimitz Blvd to the monument. Ensure you have a bike lock, as bike racks are available at the monument entrance. Note that there is still the entrance fee of $10 per vehicle, which also applies to cyclists.
