Ellen Browning Scripps Park: A Coastal Gem in La Jolla

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from La Jolla Cove, head northwest along Coast Blvd. Walk past the La Jolla Cove Beach, enjoying the scenic views of the ocean. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles (approximately 6-7 minutes). You will see Ellen Browning Scripps Park on your left side, right before reaching the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

  From the La Jolla Village area, make your way to Prospect St. Head towards Coast Blvd by walking south on Prospect St. After about 0.4 miles (approximately 8-10 minutes), turn left onto Coast Blvd. Continue walking for about 0.2 miles (approximately 4-5 minutes), and you will find Ellen Browning Scripps Park on your right.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  Take the MTS Bus Route 30 from any nearby bus stop in La Jolla. Get off at the stop 'Coast Blvd & Girard Ave'. From there, it’s a short walk: head south on Girard Ave until you reach Coast Blvd, then turn left and walk towards the park, which is about a 5-minute walk.

  If you are near Ellen Browning Scripps Park or the surrounding area, you can easily explore the park by walking along the coastline. The entrance is accessible directly from Coast Blvd, where you can enjoy the beautiful gardens and ocean views.
