From anywhere in Laguna Beach, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the 1 bus heading south towards San Clemente. The bus will take you along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), offering beautiful views of the coast. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the San Clemente Pier stop. Once you get off, follow the signs toward the pier, which is just a short walk away.
Train
If you're near the Laguna Beach train station, take the Metrolink or Amtrak train heading south towards San Diego. Get off at the San Clemente station. From there, you can either take a local bus or a rideshare service to reach the San Clemente Pier, which is about 1.5 miles away. Follow the signs for the bus stop or use a map app for rideshare options.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Laguna Beach. Start by heading south on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). It's about a 10-mile ride to San Clemente Pier, with designated bike lanes in many areas. Follow the PCH south until you reach Avenida del Mar in San Clemente, where you can find signage leading you to the pier.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, it is quite a long trek, but you can walk along the scenic coastal path from Laguna Beach. Head south along the beach and follow the trail that eventually connects to the pedestrian path leading to San Clemente. This is a beautiful but lengthy walk, so be prepared for a journey of about 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
