Getting There

  • Public Transit - Metro

    To reach MacArthur Park from Long Beach, start by heading to the nearest Metro station. You can take the Blue Line (Metro A Line) from Long Beach Transit Mall Station. Board the train heading towards Washington Station. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes, and disembark at the 7th Street/Metro Center Station. From there, transfer to the Red or Purple Line and take the train towards Union Station. Get off at the 7th Street/Metro Center Station and exit towards 7th Street. Walk west on 7th Street for about 0.6 miles until you reach W 6th St. Turn left on W 6th St, and you will find MacArthur Park at 2230 W 6th St on your right.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, locate a nearby bus stop and take the Long Beach Transit bus line that goes towards downtown Los Angeles. You can take Line 51 or 52 from the Long Beach Transit Center. Ride the bus until you reach the downtown area. Once you're downtown, transfer to the Metro Local Line 60 or 70 towards East Los Angeles. Get off at the bus stop at W 6th St and S Park View St. Walk a couple of blocks to the east, and MacArthur Park will be directly ahead at 2230 W 6th St.

  • Walking

    If you're near downtown Long Beach, you can also choose to walk to MacArthur Park. Head north on Pine Ave towards 1st St. Turn left on 1st St and continue until you reach the intersection with Alamitos Ave. Turn right onto Alamitos Ave and walk towards the Metro Blue Line station. Once you reach the station, follow the directions for the Metro transit described above, or continue walking north until you pass through the downtown and reach the park's location at 2230 W 6th St.
