Getting There
Metro
If you are in Long Beach, head to the Long Beach Transit Gallery located at 130 E 1st St. Take the Metro Blue Line towards Washington Station. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 7th Street/Metro Center Station. From there, transfer to the Metro Red or Purple Line towards Union Station. After about 10 minutes, get off at the Union Station. From Union Station, it is a short 10-minute walk to Pico House at 424 N Main St. Exit the station and head north on Alameda St, then turn right onto E 1st St, and finally left onto N Main St.
Bus
From Long Beach, you can take the Long Beach Transit bus number 61 or 91 from the Long Beach Transit Gallery. Make sure to check the schedule for the exact times. The bus will take you directly to downtown Los Angeles, and you should get off at the 5th St/Los Angeles St stop. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to Pico House. Walk north on Los Angeles St and then turn left onto E 1st St, and finally left onto N Main St.
Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Long Beach. Head towards the Long Beach bike path that connects to the Los Angeles River Trail. Ride north along the river trail for about 10 miles until you reach downtown Los Angeles. Upon reaching downtown, head east on 1st St until you hit N Main St, where you will find Pico House at 424 N Main St.
Walking
