Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you are staying in Malibu, you can take the Metro Bus Line 534, which runs along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Board the bus at any stop along PCH. Make sure to check the schedule, as buses may not run frequently. Get off at the 'PCH & Heathercliff' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile (20 minutes) to reach Point Dume. Head east on Heathercliff Road, then turn right onto Birdview Avenue, which will lead you directly to the entrance of Point Dume State Beach.

• Bicycle

  For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle from a local rental shop in Malibu. Once you have your bike, head towards Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Ride along PCH southbound until you reach Cliffside Drive. Turn left on Cliffside Drive, and continue until you reach the designated bike parking near Point Dume. The ride is approximately 2 miles from the center of Malibu and should take around 15-20 minutes.

• Walking

  If you are already in a nearby location such as the Malibu Pier or Zuma Beach, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Point Dume. From the Malibu Pier, walk northwest along the beach path for about 2.5 miles. Alternatively, from Zuma Beach, walk east along Pacific Coast Highway until you reach Cliffside Drive and then head south. This route will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your pace.

• Rideshare

  For a quicker and more convenient option, consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to 'Cliffside Dr & Birdview Ave, Malibu, CA 90265'. The fare may vary depending on your pickup location, but expect to pay between $10-$20 for a short trip from central Malibu. This option will drop you off right at the entrance to Point Dume.
