Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Driving
If driving from Downtown Santa Monica, head west towards Ocean Avenue. Turn left onto Ocean Avenue, then turn right onto Moomat Ahiko Way, following signs for Pacific Coast Highway. Turn left onto Beach House Way to enter the parking lot. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and costs $12/day from April through October, and $8/day or $3/hour from November through March.
Public Transport
While Big Blue Bus #9 previously stopped near the Beach House, it currently operates with modified service and no longer stops directly at the location. The closest stop is at Entrada Dr/Channel Rd and Pacific Coast Highway, about a 1/4 mile north. From there, use the underground walking path to cross PCH and head south along the bike path towards the Beach House. A single fare on Big Blue Bus is $1.10.
Walking
If walking from the Santa Monica Pier, head north along the beach or the Marvin Braude Bike Trail. The Annenberg Community Beach House is approximately a 20-minute walk. Follow the path along the beach, passing under the PCH via the pedestrian underpass at the north end of the beach. There are no costs associated with walking.
