Getting There

  • Bus

    If you are in central Malibu, head to the nearest bus stop along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Look for the Metro Bus Line 534, which travels towards Pacific Palisades. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the 'Pacific Coast Hwy & Vereda Del Mar' stop. From there, you will need to walk about 0.5 miles north along Pacific Coast Highway. Continue on PCH, and The Getty Villa will be on your right at 17985 Pacific Coast Hwy.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Malibu. Start from the Malibu Pier and ride north along PCH. The bike path is available for a portion of the route, but you will need to ride on the road where the bike path ends. Continue riding north for about 3 miles, and you will see The Getty Villa on your right at 17985 Pacific Coast Hwy. Make sure to use hand signals and watch for traffic.

    For those who enjoy walking, begin at Malibu Beach or the Malibu Pier. Head north along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) on the sidewalk. The walk is approximately 3 miles and will take about an hour.
