Public Transport
Several bus lines serve the UCLA campus and Westwood Village, providing convenient access to the Mathias Botanical Garden. From the Westwood/UCLA Transit Center, walk south along Hilgard Avenue, then turn right onto Le Conte Avenue. Walk west for one block, then turn left onto Tiverton Drive. The La Kretz Garden Pavilion, marking the main entrance to the garden, will be on your left. A single fare on Metro or Big Blue Bus is $1.75. Alternatively, the free UCLA BruinBus Campus Shuttle offers service to stops near the garden.
Walking
From the UCLA campus central area (e.g., near Bruin Plaza), walk south towards the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Follow the signs for the School of Dentistry and the School of Nursing. Continue along Tiverton Drive, passing the UCLA Medical Center. The La Kretz Garden Pavilion, the main entrance to the Botanical Garden, will be on your right, just past the School of Nursing.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Request a drop-off at the La Kretz Garden Pavilion, 707 Tiverton Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90095. This is the most direct access point to the garden. A ride-share from within Westwood Village will typically cost between $8 and $12, depending on demand.
Driving
The Botanical Garden does not have dedicated parking. Limited metered parking is available on Westwood Village streets, including Manning Avenue. Alternatively, use UCLA Parking Structure 2, accessible from Charles E. Young Drive or Manning Avenue. Weekday rates are $4 per hour or $16 per day. Pay at the kiosk using your license plate number. From Structure 2, walk south on Tiverton Drive towards the La Kretz Garden Pavilion.
