If you're driving from the center of Mammoth Lakes, start by heading southwest on Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Sawmill Cutoff. Turn left onto Sawmill Cutoff. After about 0.5 miles, you will see Shady Rest Park on your right. There is plenty of parking available at the park entrance.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, check the local shuttle service, Mammoth Mountain's public transit system, which operates year-round. Look for the 'Red Line' or 'Green Line' routes as they typically stop near Shady Rest Park. Get off at the stop closest to Sawmill Cutoff and follow the short walk down Sawmill Cutoff until you reach the park entrance.
