Established in 2018, this initiative by the Downtown Modesto Partnership has brought world-class artists to the Central Valley, creating over 25 stunning murals. These murals, scattered throughout the city's core, add a splash of color and creativity to the urban landscape, fostering community pride and attracting visitors. The murals reflect a diverse range of styles and themes, offering something for every art lover. Walking
DOMO Walls are spread throughout downtown Modesto. If you are already in the downtown area, the murals are easily accessible by foot. Start near the intersection of 10th Street and J Street, a central point with several murals nearby. From there, explore the surrounding blocks, including Bartoni Lane and the alleyways between J and K Streets. Look for murals on building facades and in unexpected corners. The area is generally flat and pedestrian-friendly.
Public Transport
If arriving by public transport, the Modesto Transit Center is located at 1001 11th Street, a short walk from many of the DOMO Walls murals. From the Transit Center, head south towards J Street and begin exploring the surrounding blocks. Single ride fares on Modesto Area Express (MAX) are around $1.75.
Driving
If driving, parking is available in downtown Modesto in parking garages and on-street metered spots. Garages are located on 9th Street, 10th Street, and 11th Street. Metered street parking costs around $1.25 per hour. Parking garage fees are also approximately $1.25 per hour. Be aware of time limits on street parking. Free two-hour parking is available on some streets. Check posted signs for details.
