Expect heavier traffic on event days. General parking is free and is accessible via multiple gates, including Gates 6, 7, and 9. Reserved parking is available for purchase during major events like NASCAR and NHRA. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are available, with designated pick-up and drop-off areas at the 50 Acres Campground near Gate 6.
Public Transport

While public transportation directly to Sonoma Raceway is limited, Golden Gate Transit offers bus service to the nearby city of Sonoma. From the Sonoma Plaza, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to the raceway, which is approximately a 15-minute drive. Taxi/Rideshare cost from Sonoma Plaza to Sonoma Raceway is approximately $25-$40.

Sonoma Raceway, a sprawling 1,600-acre motorsports complex, has been a cornerstone of the racing world since its inception in 1968. Originally known as Sears Point Raceway, the track was built on former farmland and quickly became a favorite among drivers and fans for its challenging layout and picturesque setting in the Sonoma Mountains. The raceway boasts a 2.52-mile road course with 12 turns and a significant 160-foot elevation change, testing the skills of even the most seasoned racers. Over the years, Sonoma Raceway has hosted a wide array of racing series, including NASCAR, IndyCar, and the NHRA Drag Racing Series. The NASCAR Cup Series has been a regular fixture since 1989, drawing large crowds to witness the thrilling action on the road course. The NHRA Sonoma Nationals, held on the raceway's quarter-mile drag strip, showcases the incredible power and speed of top fuel dragsters and funny cars. Major renovations included the addition of "The Chute," an 890-foot high-speed stretch between Turns 4 and 7, and a realignment of the start/finish straight. In 2002, Infineon Technologies entered into a 10-year naming rights agreement, and the track became known as Infineon Raceway. The track officially returned to its current name, Sonoma Raceway, in 2012. Today, Sonoma Raceway is one of the busiest motorsports facilities in the United States, hosting events nearly 340 days a year.
