Experience the charm of 1920s Los Angeles aboard the Red Car Trolley, a nostalgic journey through Disney California Adventure's Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land. (Closed Permanently on February 8, 2025)
Step back in time aboard the Red Car Trolley, a charming attraction at Disney California Adventure that evokes the spirit of 1920s Los Angeles. Inspired by the Pacific Electric Railway's iconic 'Red Cars,' this vintage-style trolley offers a leisurely ride through Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land. While onboard, conductors share historical tidbits, and retro advertisements adorn the interior, adding to the immersive experience. Though more of a scenic mode of transportation than a thrill ride, the Red Car Trolley provides a unique glimpse into the era that shaped Walt Disney's early years in California. It's a delightful way to soak in the atmosphere and appreciate the park's meticulous theming, offering a relaxing respite amidst the excitement of Disney California Adventure. The trolley provides a tangible connection to the past, making it a memorable experience for guests of all ages. Unfortunately, the Red Car Trolley permanently closed on February 8, 2025, to make way for the expansion of Avengers Campus.

Walking
Since the Red Car Trolley operated within Disney California Adventure, the final approach involves navigating within the park itself. From the main entrance of Disney California Adventure, head towards Buena Vista Street. The former trolley stop was located near Carthay Circle Restaurant. Now, guests can view the static trolley car for photo opportunities. Note that Disneyland Resort parking is available at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures for $35 per car. Alternatively, the Toy Story Parking Area offers parking for $35 per car, with oversized vehicles at $40. Keep in mind that parking prices and availability are subject to change.
Public Transport
If arriving via public transport to the Disneyland Resort area, disembark at the Harbor Boulevard East Shuttle Area. From there, enter Disney California Adventure Park and proceed to Buena Vista Street. The former Red Car Trolley stop was near Carthay Circle Restaurant. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) offers several bus routes that serve the Disneyland Resort area. A one-way fare is approximately $2.00. The Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) system also provides shuttle service from area hotels; a one-way fare is $4 for adults and $1.50 for children. Remember to check the latest schedules and fares.
Taxi/Ride-Share
If taking a taxi or ride-share, the drop-off point is located off Harbor Boulevard next to the pedestrian entrance to the Disneyland Resort. From there, enter Disney California Adventure Park and proceed to Buena Vista Street. The former Red Car Trolley stop was near Carthay Circle Restaurant. A short taxi or ride-share trip within the Anaheim Resort District typically costs $10-$15, but prices may vary depending on demand and distance.
