Devendorf Park is centrally located in Carmel-by-the-Sea and easily accessible on foot from most points within the downtown area. From Ocean Avenue, simply walk towards Junipero Street. The park occupies the block at the intersection of Ocean and Junipero. Orientation is straightforward due to the park's prominent location and visibility. If approaching from Carmel Plaza, walk north on Junipero Avenue for two blocks. The park will be on your left. No costs are associated with walking to the park.
Public Transport
Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) provides bus service to Carmel-by-the-Sea. From the nearest MST bus stops on Ocean Avenue, such as the one at Mission Street, Devendorf Park is a short walk of one to two blocks. Walk east on Ocean Avenue towards Junipero Street. A single ride on MST costs approximately $2-3.
Driving
If driving, navigate to the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Junipero Street. Parking is available on the surrounding streets, but can be limited, especially during peak season and events. Free, 30-minute and 2-hour curbside parking is available on every block in the Central Business District. Free, unlimited time parking is available at Vista Lobos public parking lot, located on Torres Street and 3rd Avenue, and at the Sunset Center north parking lot located on 8th Avenue between Mission and San Carlos Streets. Parking fees, where applicable, typically range from $2-5 per hour.
