Ledson Winery & Vineyards, also known as Ledson Castle, is more than just a winery; it's an immersive experience that combines architectural grandeur with exceptional winemaking. The estate, nestled in the heart of Sonoma Valley, is the vision of Steve Ledson, a fifth-generation Sonoma farmer and winemaker.
The centerpiece is a 16,000-square-foot French Normandy-style castle, designed by Ledson himself. Inside, visitors are greeted by sweeping staircases, cathedral-style windows, coffered ceilings, and intricate wood inlays. The castle features multiple tasting bars, each named after members of the Ledson family.
Ledson Winery produces over 70 different wines from up to 20 varietals and blends, earning consistent high scores from wine critics. Tastings, conducted by experienced staff, allow guests to sample Ledson's small-lot, award-winning wines. Enhance the experience with gourmet cheese and charcuterie from the on-site marketplace. Visitors can also enjoy a picnic lunch in the Oak Grove, surrounded by vineyards and 100-year-old oak trees.
