From San Francisco, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and take the Alexander Avenue exit. Turn left immediately, following the signs for the Marin Headlands Coastal Route. Pass under Highway 101 and head west (right) up Conzelman Road. Parking is free but limited, especially on weekends. Be aware that Conzelman Road has one-way sections.
Public Transport
From San Francisco, take the Muni Route 76X (Marin Headlands Express). This bus crosses the Golden Gate Bridge and stops at the entrance to the Conzelman Road parking lot. From there, it's a short walk to the vista point. A single fare is around $3.
Walking
From Sausalito, you can walk to Conzelman Road. Follow Bridgeway south, which turns into Alexander Avenue. Turn right onto Conzelman Road. The walk is approximately 3 miles and takes about an hour. Be prepared for a steep uphill climb.
