    Walking

    From the Del Mar Village, head north on Camino Del Mar (Highway 101). Walk past the shops and restaurants, continuing towards 29th Street. The beach access points are located on the west side of Camino Del Mar, with multiple access points from 29th Street to the volleyball courts. This is a free and scenic walk.

    Public Transport

    The Coaster train stops at the Solana Beach Station, which is approximately a 20-30 minute walk to Dog Beach. From the station, head west towards the coast and then south along Highway 101 (Camino Del Mar). The beach will be on your left. A one-way fare on the Coaster is around $5.50, depending on the distance [https://www.gonctd.com/coaster-rail-service/].

    Driving

    From Interstate 5, exit at Via De La Valle and head west. Continue until you reach Camino Del Mar/Highway 101. Turn left onto Camino Del Mar. Parking is available along Camino Del Mar and at 29th Street. Parking costs $4 per hour or $20 per day. Be aware that parking can be limited, especially during peak season.

    Check the leash laws before you go! From June 16th to Labor Day, dogs are only allowed off-leash before 8 AM.
    Bring water and waste bags to ensure a pleasant and clean experience for everyone.
    Arrive early, especially during the summer, to find parking along Camino Del Mar.

For nine months of the year, dogs are welcome along the two-mile stretch of beach, as well as in Seagrove Park and Powerhouse Park.
