Public Transit
Start at the Palm Desert Civic Center by taking a bus from the nearest bus stop. Use the SunLine Transit Agency's Route 10 bus towards Indio. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance to minimize wait times. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Indio Transfer Station. From there, transfer to Route 1. Take Route 1 towards Palm Springs and get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Highway 111 and Indio Boulevard. Walk north on Indio Boulevard for about 10 minutes, and you will see Spectra Tower in the distance. Follow the signs directing you towards the observation deck.

If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle. From Palm Desert, head east on El Paseo until you reach Highway 111. Turn left onto Highway 111 and follow it south for about 5 miles.
