From downtown Palm Springs, head south on Palm Canyon Drive. Turn left onto W Mesquite Avenue. Continue for approximately one mile. The Tahquitz Canyon Visitor Center will be on your left at 500 W Mesquite Ave. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20 minutes.

Several bus lines serve the Tahquitz Canyon area. From various points in Palm Springs, take routes 1, 2, 4, 12, 15 or the AMTRAK Thruway Connecting Service to the Tahquitz Canyon at Civic stop. From there, it is a short walk to the visitor center. A single fare is typically $1.
