Bus
From downtown Palo Alto, walk to the nearest bus stop on University Ave. Take the VTA Bus Route 22 towards San Jose. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the stop at S 1st St & E San Fernando St. From there, walk 3 minutes south on S 1st St to reach The San Jose Nutcracker at 345 S 1st St.
Train
Head to the Palo Alto Caltrain station located on Alma St. Take the northbound train towards San Francisco. Get off at the San Jose Diridon Station (the ride is about 30 minutes). From Diridon Station, transfer to the VTA Light Rail and take the Blue Line towards Santa Teresa. Get off at the San Antonio station and walk approximately 15 minutes to reach The San Jose Nutcracker at 345 S 1st St.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services. Start from the downtown area and head south on Alma St towards San Jose. Follow the designated bike lanes and take the path through the park areas. It will take about 45 minutes to reach The San Jose Nutcracker at 345 S 1st St.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route from downtown Palo Alto to San Jose. Start at the Palo Alto City Hall and walk south on University Ave until you reach the Caltrain station. Continue on University Ave, crossing over to S 1st St in San Jose. It will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk to The San Jose Nutcracker at 345 S 1st St.
