If you are in downtown Palo Alto, start at the Palo Alto Caltrain Station located at 95 University Ave, Palo Alto. Head northwest on University Ave towards the intersection with Alma St. Turn right onto Alma St and walk north until you reach the intersection with Embarcadero Rd. Cross the street and continue straight on Alma St. After a few blocks, you will reach the junction with Sand Hill Rd. At this junction, take a left onto Sand Hill Rd and continue walking north. You will pass Stanford University on your left. Continue until you reach the intersection with 280 Freeway. At this point, you should be near the Menlo Park area. From here, you can take a bus (SamTrans Route 295) towards San Carlos. Get off at the stop nearest to 108 Aberdeen Dr. From the bus stop, walk towards Aberdeen Dr, and you will soon arrive at the War Memorial.
