    Discover more about Astro Orbitor

Astro Orbitor is a timeless Disneyland attraction that combines thrilling motion with a nostalgic sense of adventure. Located at the entrance to Tomorrowland, this aerial carousel invites guests to pilot their very own rocket ship high above the park, offering stunning panoramic views. The ride's design is inspired by retro-futuristic visions of space travel, reminiscent of the golden age of science fiction. As you ascend, you'll notice the meticulous attention to detail in each rocket ship, adorned with unique numbers and flashing lights that transport you to a bygone era of space exploration. Once seated, you can control the altitude of your rocket, soaring high above Tomorrowland or gliding just above the ground. The original version of the ride, called Astro-Jets, opened in March 1956, just eight months after Disneyland itself. The current Astro Orbitor opened on May 22, 1998, as part of a renovation of Tomorrowland. A similar ride exists at every Disney Resort except for Tokyo Disneyland. The soundtrack, composed by George Wilkins, adds a layer of whimsy and wonder, perfectly complementing the ride's theme.
