Despicable Me Minion Mayhem: Become a Minion!

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is a wildly popular motion-simulator ride that immerses guests in the world of the Despicable Me franchise. Located in Universal Studios Hollywood's Upper Lot, this family-friendly attraction combines 3D animation, motion simulation, and special effects to create an unforgettable experience. The adventure begins with a pre-show featuring Gru, who unveils his plan to turn everyone into Minions. Guests are then ushered into a motion theater, where they board special vehicles equipped with 3D technology. As the story unfolds, riders find themselves zipping through Gru's super-villain laboratory, encountering plenty of mayhem and humor along the way. The ride incorporates 3D imagery and synchronized motion to create a completely immersive experience. After the ride, the fun continues with an interactive Minion-inspired dance party. This post-show experience allows guests to show off their best moves and capture memorable photos with the Minions. The area surrounding the ride is themed to Super Silly Fun Land, which brings alive the carnival from the first movie with fountains, wet and dry play areas, and the classic-style Silly Swirly Fun Ride. Despicable Me Minion Mayhem officially opened at Universal Studios Hollywood on April 12, 2014, replacing the T2-3D: Battle Across Time attraction. The ride has become a favorite among visitors of all ages, thanks to its combination of humor, heartwarming moments, and state-of-the-art technology.
