The DASH bus provides access to popular destinations within the park, including the Griffith Observatory, the Greek Theatre and various hiking trails.

For those arriving from the Los Feliz neighborhood, walking into Griffith Park is a great option. A popular route is through Fern Dell, a shaded, tranquil area with a 0.5-mile trail that eventually connects to routes heading towards the Griffith Observatory. From Fern Dell to the Observatory is approximately a 2.6-mile hike with a 600-foot elevation gain. There is free street parking near the entrance to Ferndell.
