Kirk Douglas Theatre: A Culver City Gem

Public Transport

To reach the Kirk Douglas Theatre via public transport, take the E Line to the Culver City Station. From there, transfer to the Culver City Bus Line 1 and ride to Washington Blvd. and Hughes Avenue. The theater is located nearby at 9820 Washington Blvd. A round trip fare costs $3.50, plus $2 for a reusable TAP card.

Walking

From the Culver City station, head east on Venice Blvd, turn right onto Culver Blvd, then turn left onto Duquesne Ave. Turn right onto Washington Blvd, the theater will be on the right. This is approximately a 15-20 minute walk.

Ride Share

If using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft, the best drop-off location is the loading zone directly in front of the theater on Washington Blvd. Expect to pay between $10-$20 for a ride from the nearby areas of Los Angeles.

Parking

Metered street parking is available on Washington, Culver, and Venice Blvds. Meters are in effect until 8pm and are free on Sundays. Free three-hour covered parking is available at Culver City City Hall with validation in the Douglas lobby; after 3 hours it is $1 for each 30 minutes thereafter. Alternatively, parking structures are located on Watseka Ave or Cardiff Ave, between Venice Blvd and Culver Blvd, and on Ince Blvd. Cardiff Garage is located on Cardiff Ave, and the daily max is $12.
