The hike is about 1.5 miles and offers beautiful views of the coastline. After about 30-45 minutes of hiking, you will arrive at Smugglers Cave. The cave entrance is near the cliffside.

From anywhere in Pismo Beach, locate a bus stop for the SLO Transit Route 5 towards San Luis Obispo. Board the bus and ride to the 'Avila Beach Road @ Cave Landing' stop.
