Starting from the Redding Civic Auditorium at 1110 Auditorium Dr, Redding, CA 96001, head northeast on Auditorium Dr toward Hilltop Dr. Turn left onto Hilltop Dr and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Redding River Trail. Follow the Redding River Trail along the Sacramento River, enjoying the scenery. After approximately 1 mile, you will reach the Diestelhorst Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on the trail for another 0.3 miles until you arrive at the Union Pacific Redding Trestle, located just past the bridge.
Biking
Begin your bike ride at the Redding Skate Park located at 601 N Market St, Redding, CA 96001. Head south on Market St toward E Cypress Ave, then turn left onto E Cypress Ave. After about 0.3 miles, take a right onto the Redding River Trail. Follow the trail for approximately 1 mile until you reach the Diestelhorst Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue along the river trail for another 0.3 miles to find the Union Pacific Redding Trestle on your right.

From the Redding Transit Center at 1313 Market St, Redding, CA 96001, take the Route 1 bus towards Redding Mall. Get off at the stop at Redding River Trail (approximately 10 minutes). After disembarking, follow the trail along the river, heading toward the Diestelhorst Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, continue on the trail for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at the Union Pacific Redding Trestle.
