Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you're starting from downtown Sacramento, walk to the nearest light rail station, which is the '12th & I' station. Board the Blue Line light rail train heading south toward 'Cosumnes River College'. Stay on the train for approximately 15 minutes and disembark at the 'McKinley Park' station. From there, transfer to bus route 30 (heading toward 'Land Park'), which is located a short walk from the station on McKinley Blvd. The bus will take you directly to the park's entrance. The total travel time should be around 40-50 minutes, depending on transfer times.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Sacramento. Start at the Sacramento Convention Center and head south on 7th Street, which becomes Land Park Drive. Continue straight for about 2.5 miles. You'll pass through some residential areas and reach William Land Regional Park. Look for the park entrance on your left at 3800 W Land Park Drive. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, start from the California State Capitol building. Head south on 10th Street until you reach the intersection with L Street. Turn left on L Street and continue walking until you reach 15th Street. Turn right and proceed to the intersection with Broadway. Cross Broadway, then continue straight until you reach Land Park Drive. Turn left on Land Park Drive and walk for about 1.5 miles. The park entrance will be on your left at 3800 W Land Park Drive. This walk may take approximately 30-40 minutes.
