  • Walking

    If you're starting from the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, head southeast on Ocean Avenue towards San Carlos Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 1 (CA-1). Cross at the crosswalk to get to the other side of the highway. Once across, turn left to head north along the highway for approximately 0.3 miles. The Carmelite Monastery will be on your right at 27601 CA-1. Look for the entrance with a sign indicating the monastery.

    From the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, start on Ocean Avenue and ride southeast until you reach San Carlos Street. Continue on Ocean Avenue for about 0.5 miles.
