Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by heading towards the I-5 freeway. Depending on your location, you can enter the I-5 either from the north or south. Take the exit for Mission Bay Drive (Exit 23) and continue on Mission Bay Drive. Follow the road until you reach 1093 E Mission Bay Dr. The park will be on your right side. Parking is available, but be aware that there may be fees depending on the time of day and season.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Playa Pacifica Park using public transportation, you can take the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus. Check the MTS website or app for the best route from your current location; typically, bus routes 9 and 30 stop nearby. Once on the bus, stay alert for the 'Mission Bay Dr & Pacific Beach' stop. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the park. Just head east along Mission Bay Dr until you reach 1093 E Mission Bay Dr. Be sure to have cash or a transit card for fare payment.

• Biking

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking to Playa Pacifica Park. San Diego has many bike lanes, and the park is accessible via the Mission Bay bike path. Rent a bike at one of the many bike rental shops around the beach area. Once you are on the path, follow it along Mission Bay until you reach the park at 1093 E Mission Bay Dr. Note that bike rentals typically cost around $10 to $20 per hour.

• Walking

  For those already in the nearby areas, walking to Playa Pacifica Park can be a pleasant experience. From Pacific Beach, head south along the coast on Mission Blvd. Continue until you reach Mission Bay Drive, then turn left. Follow Mission Bay Drive until you reach the park at 1093 E Mission Bay Dr. This walk should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your starting point.
