Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by getting onto I-5 S or I-15 S depending on your starting location. Follow signs for I-8 W toward San Diego. Merge onto I-805 N and take exit 22 for Mira Mesa Blvd. Continue on Mira Mesa Blvd and turn right onto Black Mountain Rd. From there, turn left onto VRC7+G4. The Flag Assembly Area will be on your right. Be aware that parking may be limited, so arrive early. There may also be parking fees depending on the area.

  To reach the Flag Assembly Area via public transportation, start by locating a nearby MTS bus stop. Use the MTS website or app to find routes that take you to the Mira Mesa area. You will likely need to take the bus towards UCSD or Mira Mesa and transfer to either Route 30 or Route 31. Get off at the stop closest to Black Mountain Rd. From there, it will be a short walk to VRC7+G4. Note that a one-way fare for MTS buses is around $2.50, and you may need to pay for a day pass if you plan multiple trips.
