Travel Guide to Balboa Landing

Getting There

• Public Transportation - Bus

  Start at the nearest bus stop to your location. You can use the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) website or app to find the closest stop. From there, take the bus route 11 or 901 towards Downtown. Get off at the 'Broadway & Pacific Hwy' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk east on Broadway until you reach the waterfront. Then, head south along the Embarcadero for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Balboa Landing, located at 1100 S Embarcadero.

• Public Transportation - Trolley

  Locate the nearest trolley station. Board the Green Line trolley towards 'Santee Town Center'. Disembark at the 'Gaslamp Quarter' station. From there, walk south on 4th Avenue towards Harbor Drive, then turn right onto Harbor Drive. Continue walking south until you reach the intersection with S Embarcadero. Balboa Landing will be directly on your left at 1100 S Embarcadero.

• Walking

  If you're already in the downtown area, simply head south towards the waterfront. Walk along the Embarcadero, enjoying the scenic views of the bay. Keep walking south for about 15-20 minutes, and you will reach Balboa Landing at 1100 S Embarcadero. Look for the historical landmark signs along the way to guide you.

• Bicycle Rental

  Rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations in downtown San Diego. Head south on the Bayshore Bikeway, which runs along the waterfront. Follow the path for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at Balboa Landing, located at 1100 S Embarcadero. This route offers beautiful views of the bay and is a pleasant ride.

• Rideshare

  Use a rideshare app (like Uber or Lyft) to request a ride. Input 'Balboa Landing' or '1100 S Embarcadero, San Diego, CA 92101' as your destination. The driver will pick you up from your location and take you directly to Balboa Landing. This is a convenient option if you prefer not to walk or use public transportation.
