BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
If you are coming from the East Bay, take the BART train to the Powell Street Station. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the escalators and elevators that lead to the street level. When you reach the surface, you will be at Powell Street. Union Square is just a short walk from here. Head west on Powell Street and turn left on Geary Street. Continue walking until you reach Union Square, which will be on your right.

Muni (San Francisco Municipal Transportation)
For those coming from the southern part of the city, take the Muni Metro train to the Powell Street Station. After disembarking, use the same directions as BART: follow the signs to the escalators and elevators to street level. Once on Powell Street, walk west and turn left on Geary Street. Walk straight until you arrive at Union Square, which will be visible on your right.
