• Walking

  If you're currently in Chinatown, a great way to reach Hang Ah Lanterns is to walk. Start at the intersection of Grant Avenue and California Street, which is a central point in Chinatown. Head north on Grant Avenue until you reach the intersection with Pacific Avenue. Turn left onto Pacific Avenue and walk until you reach the next intersection, then turn right onto Hang Ah Street. Hang Ah Lanterns is located at 31 Hang Ah St, just a short walk from this intersection.

• Public Transit - Bus

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Muni bus. Head to the nearest bus stop on Grant Avenue. Look for the 8X or 30 bus lines, which travel through Chinatown. Board the bus and ride for a few stops until you reach the stop at Washington Street. From there, disembark and walk down Washington Street until you reach the intersection with Hang Ah Street, then turn left. Hang Ah Lanterns will be at 31 Hang Ah St. Please note that the Muni bus fare is $3.00 for a single ride.

• Cable Car

  For a unique San Francisco experience, consider taking the cable car. Head to the Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason line and board the cable car at Powell Street. Ride the cable car until you reach the stop at California Street. From there, walk east on California Street towards Grant Avenue, then turn right onto Grant Avenue. Continue until you reach the intersection with Pacific Avenue, and turn left onto Hang Ah Street. Hang Ah Lanterns is located at 31 Hang Ah St. The cable car fare is $8.00 for a single ride.
