Getting There

  • BART

    If you are coming from the East Bay, take the BART train to the Montgomery St. station. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the exit. When you reach street level, walk northwest on Montgomery St. for about 4 blocks until you reach the intersection with Geary St. Turn left on Geary St. and walk for 2 blocks until you reach Union Square, which will be on your right.

  • Muni

    From various locations in San Francisco, you can take the Muni bus or tram lines that stop at Union Square. Lines 38, 30, and 2 frequently serve the area. Make sure to check the Muni schedule for the nearest stop to your location. When you get off the bus, you will be directly at Union Square, which is the large plaza in the center of the shopping district.

For example, if you are at the Powell St. BART station, exit and head towards Powell St. Walk north for a short distance until you reach the intersection with Geary St. Turn right, and you will see Union Square ahead.
