Public Transport
Finnegans Wake is easily accessible via San Francisco's Muni system. From downtown, take the N Judah line to the Cole Street & Carl Street stop. From there, walk one block north on Cole Street to reach the bar. A single ride on Muni costs $2.85 with a Clipper card or the MuniMobile app, or $3.00 cash. A day pass, good for unlimited rides on Muni buses, trains, and streetcars, is $5.70 via the MuniMobile app.
Walking
If you're already in Cole Valley or a neighboring area like Haight-Ashbury, Inner Sunset, or the Castro, walking to Finnegans Wake is a great option. From the intersection of Haight and Cole, walk south on Cole Street for about 10 minutes. From Golden Gate Park, exit at Stanyan Street and walk east towards Cole Valley. Once you reach Cole Street, head south. Cole Valley is a very walkable neighborhood.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout San Francisco. A short taxi ride from the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood to Finnegans Wake will cost approximately $10-$15, depending on traffic. Keep in mind that prices may surge during peak hours.
