Discover more about Imagination Park

Located in the heart of downtown San Anselmo, Imagination Park serves as a tribute to the creative legacy of George Lucas and his iconic film franchises, *Star Wars* and *Indiana Jones*. George Lucas, a longtime resident of San Anselmo, donated the land to the town in 2013, transforming a commercial lot into a welcoming green space. The park's centerpiece is a fountain adorned with life-sized bronze statues of Yoda and Indiana Jones, crafted by sculptor Lawrence Noble, who was part of the Lucasfilm team during the production of *Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back*. Plaques on the fountain commemorate the creation of *Star Wars* in 1973 and *Indiana Jones* in 1974, solidifying the town's place in film history. Imagination Park is more than just a tribute to Lucas's work; it's a vibrant community hub. The park hosts various local events, including the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, drawing crowds and fostering a sense of togetherness. Its central location makes it a popular spot for families, shoppers, and tourists alike. Visitors often stop to enjoy a treat, relax on the benches, or simply soak in the park's serene atmosphere.
