The Main Parade Lawn in the Presidio is a sprawling, seven-acre green space with a rich history. Once a dusty training ground for soldiers and later a parking lot, it has been transformed into a vibrant gathering place offering stunning views of the San Francisco Bay.

From downtown San Francisco, take the Muni Route 43 Masonic. This bus line stops at the Presidio Transit Center, a short walk from the Main Parade Lawn. Alternatively, use the free PresidiGo Downtown Shuttle, which connects the Main Post with the Embarcadero BART station and the Transbay Terminal. A single ride on Muni costs $2.85, which is good for 120 minutes of travel. A day pass costs $5.70. The PresidiGo Shuttle is free.

Walking
If you are already within the Presidio, the Main Parade Lawn is easily accessible on foot. It's located off the Presidio Promenade trail, between Montgomery, Lincoln, Graham, and Sheridan Streets, next to the Presidio Visitor Center. Follow the signs towards the Main Post and the Visitor Center.
