Public Transport
From the Coliseum BART station, take AC Transit bus line 46 (when available) directly to the Oakland Zoo. Alternatively, take bus line 46L on weekdays, which stops outside the Zoo on Mountain Blvd. & Golf Links Rd. A single-ride bus fare costs $2.50, or $2.25 with a Clipper Card or AC Transit Mobile app. A day pass is also available for around $5. Be aware that there is a half-mile walk from the main gate to the zoo entrance.

From I-580, take the Golf Links Road/98th Avenue exit. Turn onto Golf Links Road and follow it to the Oakland Zoo. On-site parking is available, but it's recommended to purchase a parking pass online in advance for $13; the price is $16 if purchased at the entry. Street parking is limited, but Golf Links Road offers the closest option at approximately $2 per hour. Be sure to check parking signs and meters to avoid tickets.
