Housed in the former Grace Episcopal Church in Boulder Creek, the San Lorenzo Valley Museum's main gallery offers a glimpse into the rich history of the San Lorenzo Valley. The museum, operated by the San Lorenzo Valley Historical Society, strives to preserve and share the area's heritage through exhibits, historical information, and educational programs. The Grace Episcopal Church, now a gallery, was completed in 1906 and is constructed from old-growth redwood in the late Gothic Revival style. The building itself is a piece of history, having been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Inside, visitors can explore exhibits featuring artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the San Lorenzo Valley. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, often in partnership with other institutions, that cover a range of topics including local history, natural history, and contemporary art. The San Lorenzo Valley Historical Society was founded in 1976 as the Boulder Creek Historical Society. In 1999, the society broadened its scope to include the entire San Lorenzo Valley and opened the San Lorenzo Valley Museum. Today, the museum operates two galleries, one in Boulder Creek and another in Felton.
