Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of San Lorenzo at the San Lorenzo Community Center located at 1970 Via Alamitos. Head north on Via Alamitos towards Hesperian Blvd. Once you reach Hesperian Blvd, turn right and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Lewelling Blvd. Cross Hesperian Blvd and continue straight onto Lewelling Blvd for about 0.4 miles. At the intersection with Doolittle Dr in Oakland, turn left and walk about 0.3 miles. Watermelon Rock will be on your right, close to the water.

Public Transport
From San Lorenzo, walk to the nearest bus stop on Hesperian Blvd. Take the AC Transit bus line 1 towards Bay Fair BART. Get off at the Bay Fair BART station. From there, transfer to the BART train towards San Francisco and ride to the Coliseum station. Once at Coliseum station, exit and catch the AC Transit bus line 73 towards Oakland Airport. Get off at the Doolittle Drive stop. Walk about 0.2 miles to the east, and you will find Watermelon Rock on your left.
