Public Transit - Bus
From your location in San Mateo, walk to the nearest Caltrain station, San Mateo Caltrain Station. Catch the northbound train towards San Francisco. After arriving at the San Francisco Caltrain Station, exit the station and walk to the nearest bus stop. Catch the Muni bus #30 or #28 towards the Marina District. Get off at the stop closest to Marina Green, and follow the signs to the park entrance.
Public Transit - Train and Bus
Start at San Mateo Caltrain Station and board a northbound train to the San Francisco 4th & King Street station. Once you arrive, head to the Muni light rail stop and transfer to the N-Judah line. Get off at the 'California & Fillmore' stop. From there, walk west on California Street until you reach the Marina Green.
Walking
If you're staying in downtown San Mateo, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Marina Green. Start at the San Mateo Public Library, head north along B Street, which will lead you to the Caltrain station. From there, head towards the waterfront and take the Bay Trail. Follow the trail, which offers beautiful views, until you reach Marina Green. This walk is approximately 5 miles and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from a local rental shop in San Mateo. Start at Central Park and head north on El Camino Real. Follow the bike lanes to the Bay Trail, which will take you directly to Marina Green. This route is about 5 miles long and is bike-friendly, allowing you to enjoy the scenic views along the way.
