From downtown San Mateo, head to the nearest bus stop on El Camino Real. Catch the SamTrans bus route 110 towards Pacifica. The bus will take you through various neighborhoods, and you will want to get off at the Pacifica Avenue & Highway 1 stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Pacifica State Beach. Head south on Highway 1 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the beach entrance.

Take the Caltrain from San Mateo Station towards San Francisco. Get off at the Millbrae Station and transfer to the SamTrans bus route 110 towards Pacifica.
