    Public Transit

    From San Mateo, walk to the nearest Caltrain station, which is San Mateo Caltrain Station located at 2 N B St, San Mateo, CA 94401. Once there, purchase a ticket to San Francisco. Board a southbound train and enjoy the scenic journey. After around 30 minutes, you will arrive at the San Francisco Caltrain Station, located at 700 4th St, San Francisco, CA 94107. After disembarking, exit the station and walk towards the Muni Metro stop at 4th and King. Take the Muni T Line (Central Subway) towards Chinatown. After about 3 stops, get off at the Embarcadero Station. From the Embarcadero Station, walk towards the waterfront. Continue walking along the Embarcadero for about 10 minutes until you reach Pier 7, which is located at San Francisco, CA 94105.

    Bus

    From San Mateo, head to the nearest bus stop for SamTrans at 10th Ave & San Mateo Dr (Bus Stop ID: 501). Take the SamTrans Bus Route 292 heading towards the Millbrae BART station. This route will take you to Millbrae in about 20 minutes. At Millbrae station, transfer to the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) system. Purchase a ticket to Montgomery St Station in San Francisco. After a ride of approximately 30 minutes, alight at Montgomery St Station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the Embarcadero and then head north along the waterfront for about 15 minutes until you reach Pier 7, located at San Francisco, CA 94105.

    Bicycle

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike from San Mateo to San Francisco. Start by heading to the San Mateo Bike Path located at 5th Ave & San Mateo Dr. Follow the bike path north toward the Bay Trail. Continue along the Bay Trail, which will lead you through beautiful waterfront views. This route will take you to the San Mateo Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the bike lanes into San Francisco. Once you enter the city, navigate towards the Embarcadero using local bike paths. Continue north along the waterfront for about 10 minutes until you reach Pier 7, positioned at San Francisco, CA 94105.
