Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown San Mateo, head to the nearest bus stop on 2nd Avenue and take the SamTrans bus route 292 towards the Millbrae BART station. Ride for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) stop. Transfer to the Golden Gate Transit bus 30 towards Sausalito. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Sausalito Ferry Terminal. Walk 10 minutes along Bridgeway until you reach 525 Bridgeway, where the Sausalito Boardwalk is located.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in San Mateo. Start your journey by heading north on El Camino Real towards San Francisco. Follow the bike lanes and signs for the Bay Trail. Continue on the trail, which will lead you along the waterfront. After about 7 miles, you will arrive in Sausalito. From there, head to Bridgeway, and you will find the Sausalito Boardwalk at 525 Bridgeway.

• Walking

  For a more scenic route, you can walk from downtown San Mateo to the San Francisco Bay Trail. Make your way to the Bay Trail by heading north on 3rd Avenue. Once at the trail, follow it along the bay for about 6 miles until you reach Sausalito. Upon entering the city, turn right onto Bridgeway and walk straight until you reach 525 Bridgeway, the location of the Sausalito Boardwalk.

• Rideshare

  Use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your destination to '525 Bridgeway, Sausalito, CA 94965'. The driver will pick you up from your current location in San Mateo and take you directly to the boardwalk. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
